    What is included in license coverage?

    • Perpetual Licensing: Every Enterprise license is a one-time purchase with no renewal fees.
    • Support & Product Updates: There is a separate additional cost for Product updates & technical support services directly from the team that built the product.
      Extensions can be purchased at any time.

    When do I need royalty-free redistribution coverage?

    • OEM Coverage: This license permits the distribution of end-user software that includes our products. It is suitable if you're embedding our software in applications without exposing our functionalities via public APIs to other developers.
    • SDK Coverage: If your product features a public API that exposes our functionalities to other developers, you must use an SDK license. This is necessary if your existing end-user software under an OEM license evolves to include public APIs. Note that creating or adding to code libraries for resale using our products is strictly prohibited under the SDK License.
    • No Coverage Required: If Iron Software products are used internally within your organization without redistribution or public API exposure, no additional license is required.

    Can I try the product before purchasing a license?

    • All products can be evaluated and used for free with a trial key for development & testing within an IDE.
    • All trial keys unlock full functionality for up to 30 days allowing you to test the full capabilities of the product in development and production.

    What is the difference between a license upgrade and a Product Support & Updates Renewal?

    • Product Support & Update Renewal: Extends coverage for your existing license.
    • License Level Upgrade: Upgrade to increase the number of developers, locations and projects you are covered for. Your Product Support & Updates coverage will be extended for free from the date of purchase.
