Microsoft has released .NET 10 RC1 with Go-Live Support, meaning developers can now use it in real production environments ahead of the full release.

This update brings enhancements across ASP.NET Core, Blazor, .NET MAUI, and EF Core, plus innovations like Post-Quantum Cryptography, Dark Mode in WinForms, and hybrid search in Cosmos DB. No new features were announced for the runtime, the SDK, C#, F#, Visual Basic, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or container images.

With .NET 10 RC1, Microsoft isn’t just shipping another preview, they’ve released a Go-Live supported build, meaning developers can start using it in production right now.

And at Iron Software, we’ve already made sure you’re ready to do that confidently.

Go-Live Support

The go-live license was also a focus point for a livestreamed unboxing video where team members explored the issue in detail. "This is the first release candidate of .NET 10. That means we think we are pretty much done with this release, that this is a candidate we could just ship to you," said Daniel Roth, principal product manager for ASP.NET Core and Blazor, in an unboxing livestreamed video.

"Release candidate one. That means this thing's almost done. It's time to really start kicking the tires and taking it seriously," he added

What’s New in .NET 10 RC1

This release focuses on what developers actually care about: speed, reliability, and smoother workflows. Microsoft refined the runtime, polished framework performance, and strengthened the developer experience across ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF Core 10, MAUI, and Windows Forms.

How Iron Software Fits In

We’ve tested and optimized our libraries to ensure full compatibility with .NET 10.
That means:

  • Faster rendering and lower memory use
